Hi! I'm Cari, mom to three adorable yet wild little boys who are very close in age, and a beautiful baby girl who keep me busy every second of the day. Ethan is six and loves to draw and read. He's read the entire Magic Tree House and A to Z Mysteries series and devours 5 or more chapter books a week.
Joshua is five and is my little engineer. He loves to build and doesn't like to do much else besides build and run. He runs laps around the house saying "this is my first marathon!"
Grant is three and is my sweet little man. He loves to cuddle and snuggle and give kisses and is just a happy boy. He's starting to wrestle with his brothers and can hold his own.
Last, but certainly not least, our beautiful daughter Olivia has brought so much joy to our family.
I am wife to an amazing husband who is my best friend. He is also an outdoor enthusiast (which is putting it mildly). He has run countless marathons and completed the St. George Ironman. He loves anything outdoors, mountain climbing, skiing, hiking and white water rafting, although we have tamed him over the years to be content with running and family hikes.
We are followers of Jesus Christ and active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We try to live an intentional life- making each day count through the choices we make. We believe that happiness is not something we have to wait until the next life to obtain, we can find joy through the choices we make each day. I often remind myself as a mother that each day is worth it, though each moment may not seem to be.
In my pre-mommy days (which seems like ages ago!) I worked 7 years for a high-tech company and 2 years for a small startup. I earned my MBA from Franklin Pierce in New Hampshire. During those carefree days my favorite thing to do was travel. I have traveled all over North America and to several countries around the world including every major city in western Europe, Bejing & X'ian China and Moscow & Cheget Russia. I am excited to share this love with my children (my oldest son visited 5 countries and 20 states before the age of 4).
My current passion is photography. I particularly love photographing newborns. I also love baking and have begun the long process of testing each of my recipes, posting images on my food blog and will eventually put them all into a full color bound book for my own enjoyment. I enjoy digital scrapbooking and have a goal to complete each year's book by New Years Eve of that year. I love to read classic literature (my favorite authors are Elizabeth Gaskell, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens) and watch BBC/Masterpiece Theater productions (I really love going to the theater but it's not as easy to find kid-friendly productions).
I have always enjoyed running but have just recently learned to run long-distance. I have completed several half marathons and my first full marathon! I've recently joined the world of homeschooling and am still feeling my way around but I try to share whatever I learn. And although I am not very good at crafty things, I do try. My favorite color to decorate with is red and I have a thing for antique looking clocks. My favorite place to eat is Chipotle and my favorite places to shop are the Loft and Nordstrom. I am currently fulfilling one of my dreams to live in and travel through Europe with my family.
