Christmas 2007
We had a nice quiet Christmas this year. We spent Christmas Eve with friends and just relaxed at home Christmas Day. We put a banana in Ethan's stocking (one of his favorite foods) and he rushed right over to it and started to gobble it skin and all. When we pulled out his first box to open he climbed on top of it and jumped up and down. I think he had more fun jumping on the boxes than playing with the toys inside. It was a fairly warm day so we took him to play at the park that afternoon. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year! O' Christmas Tree
So I've been really bad about updating this lately, but I have a good excuse. I'm finally launching the birth announcements business I started back in March! Check it out, http://www.thebluebuggy.com/.
And we just got back from Virginia. The second week of Dec. we went to Charlottesville, VA for Anthony's tax course. We stayed at the same Marriott we lived in for 4 months during his JAG training. It was weird to think just a year ago we were living there. We went to Montpelier again, it's so beautiful. We also made a trip to DC and saw the usual- National Cathedral, the Mall, Capitol, etc. and also went to the DC Temple to see the lights and watch a concert. It was fun to be back. The weather was awesome, in the 70's almost the entire time. I love Virginia and wouldn't mind living there again some day. The day after Thanksgiving we went and cut down a Christmas tree from a farm a few miles away. It was so fun spending hours wandering through the woods looking for the perfect tree. I actually found the tree I wanted within about 30 seconds, but had to scour the rest of the woods just to make sure. Ethan had so much fun running around touching every tree and rolling down the hills.

Happy Halloween
Ethan's going to be a monkey for Halloween this year. We had a Halloween Party last weekend and he wore his costume, he looked so cute. He loves apples and I saw a tail sticking out from under the tablecloth and looked under there and he was munching away on an apple.
We went to the trunk or treat at the church this evening and Ethan was so cute! He just ran from car to car peeking in the baskets to see what people had. He had so much fun running wild dragging his little tail behind him, it was adorable. He was so wound up he continued running after we took off the costume and was being a little wild man. There are more pics here.

Europe Trip
We are back from our trip! It feels like we were gone forever, almost a full month. I almost forgot what my house looked like and how much I like it! We had a great time in Germany and also visited Austria, Swizerland, northern Italy and Lichtenstein. Ethan and I spent the first two weeks with Tracey & Mark in Bad Homburg. Ethan had so much fun playing with the kids, Collin is only a year older than him and he would follow him everywhere. Ethan did so well on the plane both ways, he slept almost the entire time. He had a difficult time adjusting to the time change though and without his dad, once Anthony arrived he slept through the night without waking.
Anthony and I stayed the week in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, one of our favorite places in Germany. We visited Rothenburg, went on a tour of Vipiteno and Brixen Italy, took a 3 country tour including Austria, Switzerland and Lichtenstein, went on a tour of Berchtesgaden and the Eagles Nest, went up the Zugspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany, visited Dachau and Munich, Ulm, then took a Rhine River cruise in Rudesheim. The weather was absolutely beautiful- upper 60's lower 70's and the leaves down South were starting to change. The alpine passes we drove on through Austria and Switzerland had some of the most amazing views I've ever seen, the mountains there are so incredible. After living away from big mountains for so long you forget how awesome they are, it makes us want to move back to the Rockies. We had a really great time there. Anthony's having a hard time driving slow on our freeways after driving 120mph all week long. I really miss the yogurt, pastries and ice cream. We're going to have to find a gelato shop to satisfy the cravings. We had a great time, but it's good to be back home and get back to 'normal' life again. Be sure to check out pictures of our trip.
